IDK where else to post so i put it here..

Well its known that DHT is what causes hairloss (Most of the time). And then you have that thing that causes it which is 5AR. Well instead of blocking DHT... WHy not just find a way to destroy it? I mean if its a cell thing or homone, why not just eliminate the hormone rather than to block it? Or is it a necessary hormone that is used by humans for other things? I dont know if i have my info straight but my point is, why not destroy the source rather than to block it?

yes, Essentially that is what is being done currently as a treatment. We block the production of DHT. But once you stop taking whatever you take to block the production, it comes right back and all the hair u had saved will be gone once again. So why not just eliminate whatever gland produces the DHT.

DHT is a product of regular testosterone. I do not think you block the source of testosterone. Currently, as far as I know there is no way to destroy DHT preventing it from binding to the receptor on the follicle of those who are genetically susceptible. So the next best thing is to stop it from being produced.
The receptors are like locks to a door and DHT are the keys. We can alter whether or not a person has the locks, but we can significantly reduce the number of keys floating in the bloodstream.
