    hairpiece?
    hair restoration success stories?
    Hi,
I'm looking into a hair system until I have progressed enough to be a good candidate for a transplant. Are there any success stories out there? Can hair systems really work?

How bad is your hair now that you have to wear a hair system? Are you saying your a good candidate for a hair system but not a hair transplant at this time? Did a doctor tell you that?

    hairpiece?
It is not bad yet. I have a couple of years before I really have to consider either a transplant or a system. I just finished my first month on propecia but for some reason I am a little sceptical of its claims. I am also thinking that because those that have male pattern baldness in my family usually progress to atleast a NW5 or 6 that I won't be able to have surgery for quite a while until I can really tell how far I will progress. I would really like to look into hair pieces for now because if the stories are true, it looks like you can achieve a much fuller look, especially for those who progress into the higher stages of the NW measurements. I would just like to know if there is anybody who has been happy with their hair system. I don't feel like I can get an honest answer from the websites of the manufacturers of these hair pieces.

In general persons who are older and less active will be happier wearing a hair system compared to younger and more active people. Some of my happiest patients are those that have been able to stop wearing there hair systems. However, some patients who have extensive hair loss and very poor donor hair are better suited for a hair system. I have seen these types of patients and referred them to a local non surgical hair clinic.
