    Avodart Prescription
So I have been on prop for about 14 months and seen very little positive outcome from it. As far as decreasing rate of hair loss it is hard to tell but there is still a lot of hair loss happening. I have seen about 4 doctors in the PGH area but none say they will prescribe avodart/dutasteride because it is not approved for hair loss. Does anyone know any doctors in the DC/PGH areas that would prescribe this for me? Or how to go about getting a prescription for it? I would atleast like to try it and see if it will help because nothing else has.

Right, first I will give you the official line that I should give on a reputable website. They won't give you a prescription because it is not FDA approved, they don't know what negative effects it could have, they have every reason to be concerned about getting sued and you should probably just stick to Propecia for these reasons.

Right, now my advice, which is not medical advice. Sod the prescription. Go to Inhouse Pharmacy and buy it online. It's not an illegal drug and it's your body, so don't let some bureaucracy get in the way of your fight against hair loss.

When taking avodart, for your own piece of mind, get some blood work done every 3 months or so to monitor your liver function and whatever else is of concern with this drug. It may be safe for you, but not for others since every body is different.

I don't think there is any doubt that dut is clincally proven to regrow hair, its just that the FDA has a concern with product safety and they error on the conservative side.
