Does this look like hair loss? (photo)

Does this look like I am losing my hair. From this line of scalp forward all my hair is thinner than the hair behind it. The picture doesn't really show it but this line goes all along horizontally from temple to temple

looks like the temples are thinning..get on that propecia as fast as you can..you can def catch it in time

It looks like it could be male-pattern hair loss. It's a little hard to tell from that photo.
If that's what it is, john is right that you've caught it in time to do something effective about it (with meds). But before you get on medication, I would suggest consulting with a hair loss specialist. He or she should be able to describe your situation in more detail to you, rule out other possible causes, explain the benefits and risks of available treatments, etc.

Thanks for the input, I appreciate it. I have been on minoxidil 5% for about a month and a half. This is the first time that I have cut my hair short in a while. Is it possible that I have gone through some shedding and I am noticing it more because it is short?

I don't know how long it typically takes for the minoxidil shed to kick in, but it does seem possible.

Sorry, but are you guys insane or is it just me that isn't able to see anything on this pic? Judging from the pic there is no MPB in my opinion, but there is some temple recession..

I think the description of a thin area at the front is a clearer indication than the photo. It definitely sounds like there's some frontal thinning happening.

If he had parted his hair anywhere on the scalp, even the back or sides, it would still look the same... so people judging from this pic aren't exactly helping this dude...
