1000 FUE with Dr. Glenn Charles - Boca Raton, FL
I have had two FUE procedures with Dr. Charles in Boca Raton, FL. The first was on January 12, 2012, when Dr. Charles placed 1000 FUE grafts in my frontal hairline, the second was approx. 7 weeks later when I asked Dr. Charles to touch up an area directly behind the first....which he did no questions asked.

I waited to write a recommendation for Dr. Charles until I observed some hair growing since I wanted to be sure FUE transplants worked before I advised someone else to do it. After reading everything I could find on-line about transplants I was skeptical about the process due to all the marketing that some doctors put out. As I approach the 3 month mark I can see some hair growing now where I did not have hair previously and I expect the growth will continue.

I had three consultations, one with Dr. Charles and two with doctors in Miami. I chose Dr. Charles since he seemed to offer the most personalized care. He provided his personal cell phone number and answered any questions I had about the procedure. I asked him everything I could think off from the mm size off the punch, model tool used, solutions, experience of techs..ect. I have spoken to him several times now and have never felt like he was being pushy or feeding me a line of BS! Dr. Charles spent an hour with me during the initial consultation and dealt with me exclusively during the procedures. He applied the anasthesia, made recipient sites, scored the grafts and remained available while his staff removed the grafts, inspected them under a microscope, then reinserted them.

I found FUE to be no big deal. It's a little uncomfortable during the anasthesia shots and scoring, but otherwise a minor inconvenience which after a week to 9 days, noone would know it was done unless you told them. When I shaved the back of my head seven weeks later for the second procedure...I could barely notice anything in the extraction area (which is why I only wanted FUE). A co-worker of mine has had a couple strip surgeries and has a large scar...which I didn't want.

Overall, I feel that Dr. Charles provides a quality service at a reasonable price based on the research that I did. I found his office to be very CLEAN and he did not hustle around with multiple patients the day of my surgery. His staff appeared to be knowlegeable in thier skills too. If you are in the FL area, I recommend him.

    Just a question
Have you thought about your future hairloss ?
Say in 5 , 10 or 15 years when the hair behind that 1 1/2 inches of transplanted hair starts to go ?
