Hm... at 50 isn't it too late to start worrying? Trying a new treatment

I just saw so many really young guys with hair loss problems posting here... I'm a newbie on forums..., but not in life, heh)) I'm already 50 and start to get bald some 5-6 years ago, before that didn't sport very thick hair as well... But at least some hair... Actually, two questions - don't you think it's too late to begin fighting my baldness at 50? Maybe it's already natural causes?... I don't know...
And the second question - I just started a new treatment, called Xeno Laboratory, it's a serum - they claim it does help. I just started it, anybody already tried this product? I bought it when I was Ukraine this summer, my buddies there recommended it as very effective (and it is also manufactured there). I also saw it here in the US at www.xenolabusa.com

From what I read from the ingredients list on the website, it just looks like a buffed up conditioner lol. It doesn't have any active chemicals that actually remedy the root problem of male pattern baldness. If you look up hair restoration on google, you will get a lot of the same products. While many of these treatments will actually improve the outlook of your hair, it won't grow back hair for the majority from what I have read. At your age of 50, I think most would opt to do a hair transplant. So possibly see a specialist?

Thanks for a reply. I don't think that transplant is an option for me now... I heard they are not steady, I mean you'd loose hair anyway in six or nine months after the surgery... But... that's the forum is for, I'll try to learn everything about it.

Unless I'm mistaken, I believe successful hair transplants last more than 4 years. Normal hair eventually fall out after 4-9 years of growth.

TBH, I would read forums as a guideline for further questions to be asked to a real hair doctor/specialist. Forum advice are usually heavily biased, including my own sometimes. Although I try to be objective and informative.

So the main thing is, go to a doctor you trust and ask for a referral to a knowledgeable hair specialist.

I read the ingredients of the product you mentioned and I do not think it will help or hur you very much. 50 years old is definitely not to late to do something about your hair loss. It means you still care what you look like, which is a good thing. Send out some photos for doctors to evaluate and get a few recommendations. Education is the key to making good decisions.

At least my hair started to shed less, and that's a good sign. Anyway, thanks for your reply!

Sounds like it's helping! Keep us updated because I would like a real review from someone who has used it for a prolonged time with benefits.
