19 year and losing hair :(
hey, im 19 years old and i am losing hair. I wanted to book an appointment with a dermatologist but my physician keeps on saying "you can't do anything about it" and he doesnt give me an appointment to a dermatologist. I live in Toronto, Canada and I think we need our physician to make an appointment with a dermatologist. I do not want to take any medications without professional advice, becuase i took a medicine called provillus for more than 2 months, and it isnt doing any good to me; not even that NO ONE is aware of it. I think if i take the proper medications, i might be able to slow down the hair loss. My father and brother are half bald too but they never tried to do anything about it. I am posting pictures of my head (ps its with flash, without flash it doesnt look THAT bald). Please give me an advice, what to do with it. IF you live in markham, toronto...if you know any good dermatologist, please let me know about that too.
    thank you so so much!

Isn't Canada's health care system government funded that sets the quality standards? Although the USA is headed in that direction, we still have the freedom to see any doctors. A dermatologist would definitely prescribe Propecia for you. You're only 19 years old so you have a good chance of obtaining positive results. If you can't see a dermatologist then I would purchase Propecia online. Provillus advertises a lot and I can see why you would be tempted. It actually does provide good hair nutritional pills and minoxidil. However, you can purchase generic minoxidil just about anywhere for a fraction of the cost. And unless you have a vitamin/mineral deficiency, the Provillus pills won't help you at all. I wish you all the success in combating your hair loss problem!
