Get on Rogaine and Propecia now, and you have a pretty good chance to keep your hair as it is now and probably even regrow some. But you have to get on now and be disciplined in your use of both products.

Do nothing and you can expect to go bald over time.

    Hey TYTR,

I'm dermarolling too, 5 wks in but am using minox and Fin, but to early to tell if it's working. How about you, how long u been rolling? any results?

As far as the future goes, no one knows, but this Dr. Nigam thing seems to be something and we'll know in less than 5 yrs if it's the holy grail or not.

    woof 5 years are a lot///

i have not started yet i am starting hopefully in around 10 days and will do it exactly as in the study.

my friend 5 weeks is too early. think that from the study the best responders showed evidence of new growth on 6th week... ;)

    it works i am sure....

i just hope that we have mwamba nigam proofs more proofs of high nw converted to nw1 high density... if that i see i am heading to india straight

Too young to retire, like previosly said the best thing you can do is get on finasteride. It is proven to work and more then likely will keep your hair as is or may even improve it. I just found out 2 people I know take it. One I already new who was an awesome responder. The other i found out recently takes it and after thinking back to when i met him, he is a excellent responder too.

And both these guys dont sit around on these forums posting and reading the negative propaganda about this drug. I would say there would be a large % of people who take this drug with success who would not even know about these forums.

You need to keep the hair you have and hopefully one of these new treatment comes through soon. Surgical hair restoration/ transplants are not the holy grail. We need a non invasive treatment, stem cells or whatever. Transplanted hair from the back and sides of the head is just not natural in the hairline.

Hair transplants, even with more donor will not stop hair loss from progressing. Yes, you may one day be able to replace the hair, but its always better to have more of your own to work with if possible.

-Never forget the basics. Hair transplant surgery replaces what you lost.

-Medications keeps what you have now.

Once you progress to a NW6 no amount of surgery, medications, voodoo, or kitchen sink science will ever get you back to the point of being a NW1 with "good" density (assuming you mean high density front to back.

Do what you can to work with the sides and keep what you have now.

No one can answer your question unless they have developed time travel and are from the future or they have a crystal ball. Anyone who gives you an answer is just guessing.
