Dear Dr. Redmond,
"Greeting"
my Body hair growth is painful With much itching after I remove them by Any method.please tell me why? what should I do?
thanks in advanced.
I have just stumbled on to this site and don't know where to begin. I am 50 years old and have always been blessed with extremely thick long hair. About 2 years ago I started noticing that I was shedding hair faster than normal. I went to a dermatologist who said that she didn't see signs of female baldness, but that she did notice I was shedding a lot. She told me that I must be stressed and said that in 6 months my hair would grow back. I have now "shed" more than 50% of my hair and I don't know what to do or where to start. I use the estrogen patch...Vivelle (estradiol transdermal system 0.075 mg per day) Now I try not to wash my hair too often because when I do, I have hand fulls of hair. I need help...What is the first step? Do I try another doctor? Read a book? Drink a potion? Change shampoo? Get a hair transplant? Help Please...I'm terribly afraid. I want to do something while I still have some hair left. Where do I turn?
I read your book on hormally vulnerable woman. It was a great comforting read. I am a 23 year old female and have been losing my hair since I was 19. I had a lot of the symptoms you described in your book such as scalp burning/itchiness, unwanted facial hair and body hair, very bad acne.
Then I started taking Spiro 200mg with yasmin in March 09 and carried on taking this daily till September 09. My skin has cleared up completely (I have never seen it so clear) but my hair is still shedding. I wanted to know if this is normal and if my hair loss will eventually stop after continued use of spiro? Thanks
