we had exchanged comments on another thread prior to it being closed. I apologize if I was too forward or offensive. You mention that you had never heard of Dr. Gho. I am merely contacting you to say that you should look into his work. Many say it is not proven, but many say it is. The first doctor to offer this procedure in america could be rich beyond his dreams/usual cosmetic surgeon net salary. Thanks for taking the time to come on the forum and talk to hair loss suffers

(part 2) But I dont want to restart without first taking some blood tests and testosterone tests. Do I have to go to a trichologist to get this type of work done or do I just go to a physician?
If it is a trichologist do you recommend any of these places I found on google? Just moved to the UK so I don't have much info on procedure here:

    http://www.trichologists.org.uk/

Lastly, do you know what specific type of tests someone in my situation should get done? What to check for?

Also, what was your exp. like on propecia? Did you honestly fully recover from it all? If so how long did it take? did you take anything to recover?

Sorry for all the questions but I really hope you can help me!

(pt 1 of 2 messages) Hi Dr. Dan, I wanted to ask you a question. Firstly I wanted to thank you for being active on this forum.

I'm at the point of restarting my use of propecia after not using it for 1 yr. 6 months after starting I was getting sidefx of reduced semen, loss of morning erection, slight numbness in penis, slight loss of libido girth reduction in the erect penis.

I've recovered since stopping but not completely. I still have reduced ejaculation and penile girth and my erections arent as strong as they used to be, but i've improved the in the other side fx experienced while on treatment.

So now I want to try and go back on propecia because my hair is thinning more noticeably now and I dont want to go bald. I might just lessen my dosage and ramp up like stated here:

    http://www.baldtruthtalk.com/showthread.php?t=4809

Propecia worked well on me in the 6 months i used it, much thicker hair in the front area, grew faster and bit of regrowth.

I'd probably stop it if it were me. Discuss with your prescriber.

    Hi Dr Lindsay,

I am a 19 year old currently taking Fincar. I noticed your post on Propecia and impotence and also noticed that you said you quite the drug as you experienced side effects. Within the space of 5 months I have been on the drug, and have came off it three times for roughyl a week or two. I still haven't got morning erections back, I have continually had watery semen and at times quite a serious lack of libido. Would you recommend giving it more time? it's quite clear that I suffer side effects, in your opinion do you think it's worth carrying on?

    Thanks, Joe
