Dr. Glenn Charles; in your opinion is there a potential lessened incidence of sides when lowering finasteride dosage? From 1mg to 0.5mg? From 0.5mg to 0.25mg?

Hello Doctor. I'm extremely disappointed in Replicel's release on efficiancy, was hoping this will be a option for me to get my hair back when my hair loss gets worse. I'm currently a NW2, with severe thinning on top. I saw your post about hair systems, and being young I’m scared to approach this option. Will it look natural? Can I just repair my hairline at the temples and just get a system to cover the top? Is this common? I can’t live life without hair, it’s been hell for me and I just want to be able to enjoy my life. What is your opinion?

Hello dr Glenn. I'm 21 years old male from Greece.When i was 16 i washed my hair only once a weak for 3-4 months.It became really oily and i had itchiness.That was during the winter.As the summer approached i woke up one day and i could see my scalp through my hair.I examined the scalp and it looked red with some pimples here and there but i thought it was normal.After a while the itchiness became worse but the everyday washing and going to beach calmed my scalp.After the summer period i started to feel a burning sensation like ants crawling under my scalp.My scalp became very very red.I was in pain so i went to a dermatologist.He told me i had pytiriasis and gave me 2 shampoos one red and one orange.After one month the symptoms weregone.I didnt experience any dandruff.Now 5 years later without any treatment the hair loss is exactly the same.My hairline and crown area hasn't been affected.My hair loss is located in the mid scalp area.Could this caused permanent hair loss?

Been on proscar for 7 months. Generally have thick hair.

I wanted to know what is normal and abnormal shedding. This is driving me insane because I do not know what normal shedding is. It seems like I shed hairs around my donor area (non mpb) just like any other area..but I seem to shed diffusely. While shampooing, I notice around 5-10 or so hairs on my hands, and probably 5 loose hairs sitting on my scalp. When I comb my hair, I am getting 15-20 hairs and it stops, usually the number is half of that if i properly get loose hairs out of my scalp daily. Is this a sign that propecia isnt working for me?

How is proscar working for me when I continue to lose about 20-50 hairs a day. I know they say losing 100 hairs per day is normal, but Its hard to believe.

I will consider a HT to fill in the thinning area..but I dont know if I should even proceed with that because Im unsure if the medication is working? Can you shed some light on this please?

This is Guy Groomes recently posted thread about losing my hair. I noticed the other day there are scaly patches on the scalp and it was awful red in some areas. Also it started itching like nobodys biz.

I'm 16 years old and was hoping you could help me out with my finasteride problems. I have been using finasteride 1mg per day for the past 5 weeks.

I noticed over the 5 period my testicles gradually reduce in size but i stayed on the drug up until a few days ago.

last week i noticed during the end of my ejaculation an odd sensation, this got me slightly alarmed but didn't really hurt. i ejaculated again 2 days later and i experienced the same thing, just a bit longer. 2 days ago i ejaculated again and this time it was much longer, and much more painful, and i looked at the semen and it was extremely watery/had yellowish 'jelly' in it. I then quit the drug.

i would really like to fix this issue and maybe go back on .5?

Was it primarily due to my age that I got this reaction?

Now I'm scared to ejaculate again to see if its gotten better because im worried itll be as painful as last time. How long should I wait to try again?

I'm seeing my gp soon.
