June 23rd, 2005 - 2,955 Grafts Harvested For Crown
Plane ride was easy. I knew what was coming and just enjoyed the ride. On the way back home I didn’t even wear a hat. When my Dad picked me up from the airport after my surgery, he asked if I had anything done. I just laughed and showed him my crown area and all the new hairs in place. I can’t wait to watch the transformation!

Staples Came Out Today !!!
Got 86 of those little suckers! Came home from a long day, got the bathtub full of warm/hot water, soaked my head for 1/2 hour and then applied Oragel along the whole stapled area. Left on for about 40 minutes until we began removing the staples. Since I had them in for 15 days, some seemed loose and ready to come out, about 15% of em I'd say. Had a couple of stingers, but not as tough as the first time. Seemed pretty easy this time around, and I'm glad. Now I get to buzz my hair tomarrow or Sunday. I'll post pics as soon as I'm done.

Month One HT#2
Not much to say really. I do have some shockloss that will return in about three months with the crown, since it has all but a few shed. I'll take pics next month for a progress report.

Month Eleven for HT#1
Month Eleven was here as of yesterday! My hair seems pretty thick. It's still more coarse than the backside, but its to be expected the first year. My understanding is that it will "relax" more as time passes. I worked out yesterday for the first time in a long time. Did my arms until I couldn't do anything anymore and as I was looking into the mirror, and as I sweat, I enjoyed watching as I looked younger than ever with my new hair! It gave me a great workout and a new lease on life.

As far as HT#2....it's month two and not much to say. I've noticed some activiity, but nothing much to really photo. My two small shockloss areas seem to be slowly but surely coming back. I figure with the severe shockloss in those areas, it will take quite a while for it to recover. But I have faith that it will return.

One Year Mark for HT#1
WOW, did this year fly by! I'm enjoying my ability to grow or buzz my hair. I feel ten years younger and now with the crown work (ht#2) starting to fill in...already at month three...the next few months should be very interesting!

HT# 2 - Month FiveMonth Five for the Crown and things are growing along nicely.

Crown Now at Month 6 !!!
I'm at the six month mark for the crown. I no longer have a "bald spot" anymore and it feels terrific! My hopes is that I have more to come as everyone says that the crown is a late bloomer for most. I just had a haircut last week. Just enough to keep my curls in line in the back and clean up the ends on top. My goal is to let the front grow as long as I can, so I'll have something to work with in the next few months or so.

Haircut 01/10/2006
Got a haircut yesterday! Couldn't stand my hair goin' all over the place....AH! Felt good to walk out of the salon with a "fresh look". And I havn't had this style since my 20's! I'm Lovin' it!

Month 7 - Crown 01/23/2006
Month seven for the crown. I wore my hair slicked back yesterday. Since its longer in the front, the style was more up than slicked. The crown is at a weird stage now....I've heard that it will thicken up more, but its hard to believe. I've compared my before crown shots to my recent and I can honestly say that I'm sooooooo glad not to have that bald spot anymore. So, I'm grateful of what has transpired with the 2,955 grafts thus far. At seven months, they say I'm about 50% out of my "end result" for the crown. We'll see.....but for now, I'm happy and for the first time in a long time it feels good to have that youthful feeling again. I can say without a doubt that going to Hasson & Wong was THE BEST move I have ever made in my life regarding self improvement.

October 09, 2006 Life is Good
Just a quick update. The hair seems to be doing well...I really enjoy getting to look in the mirror and see a young version of myself again. I'm enjoying life....taking things as they come....and hope my website has served as a good source for many seeking information regarding HT's. God Bless!
