E-mails are being sent off currently. I am going to be getting a chin and jaw implant to improve my current appearance. It will be slight, but definitely far more aesthetically pleasing than what Mother Nature gave me.

I'm going to leave the nose for the moment, along with the cheek implants. I don't believe I really need either of these are both of mine are prominent enough as it it - especially when I cut more weight after my bulk.

I am going to be seeing a Dermatologist and getting perfect skin. Perfect complexion all around - beautiful pale skin. Then I am removing all moles and veins on my face, neck, chest, back, arms. This can be done in one go.

Finally, I am going to start waxing off the hair on the top of my hands. I want to see if I like the look and feel. If I do then in a few months time I'll go and see someone about removing them for good with a laser. I will also remove the one or two rogue hairs that grow between my eye brows (no, I don't have a monobrow you monolithic cavemen).

I have also started plucking my eyebrows. I have been told before that my eyebrows are "perfect", but I want to create a more refined and defined look.

I also have begun with gym. I am lifting more than ever before, slamming supplements, and getting all the sleep I need. I've also been researching heaps on the right diet, routines, and techniques.

NO PAIN NO GAIN. ALL IN! GET FIT OR DIE MIRIN!!

I want this. I want this so bad that I won't stop 'till the day I die. I WILL ACHIEVE MY GOALS. I WILL BECOME AESTHETIC! You may read this and laugh, but I WANT THIS WITH EVERY GOD DAMN MOTHER****ING INCH OF THIS GOD FORSAKEN BODY OF MINE.

I JUST WANT TO BE AS GOOD AS I KNOW I CAN BE! I WANT TO BE THE GUY WOMEN WANT TO BE WITH, AND THE GUY MEN WANT TO BE LIKE. I REALLY DON'T THINK ANYONE KNOWS HOW BAD I WANT THIS. I HAVE CUT OFF ALL FRIENDS, ALL CONTACT FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD. I AM LIVING IN ISOLATION UNTIL MY OBJECTIVES ARE COMPLETE.

Hi Scorpion.

Jokes on you. I'm thinking about uploading pictures of my hair, and when I do I can dispell these rumours once and for all.

In doing so you'll also need to deal with the harsh reality that Scorpion probably did commit suicide after that post he made on my wall, and after I told him he had sold out on the dream.

I'm gonna side with the joke being on you Highlander. Thinking of uploading photos just doesn't cut it.

We don't normally see eye to eye. But trust me, even after your body transformation you will still find faults with yourself and be overly self conscious. You need to address this.

I've had a nose job, whitened my teeth, hit the gym and still felt 'ugly' even when I met girls who said I was cute. its a self image problem. I'm starting to accept it now. The fallacy is 'if I just correct this then I'll look so much better'... no matter how much surgery you have, you need to change your mentality

trust me, you can spend thousands on surgeries and the like, but if you think your ugly you always will be.

Thank you for some constructive feedback, even if you don't agree with me. The thing is I don't believe I'm ugly. I actually find myself to be attractive. It's just my appearance in profile that I dislike, and so I'm hoping to create a stronger appearance side-on.

I don't look at myself and think "Oh damn, I'm so ugly, but if I just changed...". Instead I look at myself and see "If I had a stronger jaw and chin, then in profile I would look as good as I do front on.".

I am a bit concerned that I will have a mentality like yours, where it's almost that little bit more. However, I don't believe I suffer from that.

P.S. When deciding on your nose job, did you do a model of your desired appearance with the surgeon? Or how did you know what you wanted?

I'm glad we agree on one thing. I think that we are our own worst critics. We can spend hours finding faults with ourselves in the mirror that most people will never find on us!

Well my nose was quite big, I used to hate it and I saw a picture taken once from side on and I was like 'thats ugly!' When I went to the plastic surgeon, he said that honestly you weren't going to get 'perfect' nose. I said I just wanted my nose more in proportion with my face, and so it doesn't stick out. As be was the professional, I let him decided how best to approach that, so he got rid of a small bump I had and narrowed the bridge slightly and made my nostrils slightly smaller to suit.

I'm only a few months post op so the final result isn't fully apparent yet, the tip is still swollen. I took 2 weeks off work and told noone. No one noticed because the swelling meant my nose was the same size as before and the skin has to settle over the bridge of the nose. As the swelling is going down now, its taking its final shape and because it is gradual, no one has even noticed.

I think going for subtle enhancements is the way to go with plastic surgery. Working with what you're got sort of thing.

Did you go on a plastic surgery forum or anything before deciding what you wanted to get and who with? How did you go about the whole thing?

definitely, I don't think you can change your face totally through plastic surgery, just 'improve' it.

well I emailed a few of the London plastic surgeons and had a couple of free consultantions. I also looked into plastic surgery in Prague as its cheaper and most of their surgeons actually worked in Harley street at some point. Forums actually rated them highly.

On the day of the surgery I was thinking 'i must be mad' but thought 'just think of the end result - no more big nose!' There is no pain afterwards but its very uncomfortable after. They put 'tampons' in your nose so you can't breathe through your nose and my mouth was so so so dry!! Like I was in the desert, I was dying for water, throat like sandpaper. My eyes swelled up so I could barely see out of them and eating was even hard. your nose gets blocked up with dried blood and mucas and you can't really clean it. When your nose runs you can only dab it gently and can't blow. Your nose is numb for weeks after and it feels weird. You can't properly wash your nose for a month after so it gets greasy, blackheads, spots etc! Trust me, its not a decision to be taken lightly. I have pics of me post op and I look battered!! lol. plus I've been reading on forums that all 90% of the swelling goes down in a year but can take 36 months for it all to resolve! Not a case of 'Ill have a nose job and in a month or 2 ill have the perfect nose' !!

Yea, things like recovery post-op really vary from person to person. Some do it fast, others take a bit longer. It's that unknown really.

What were some of the forums that you used, if I may ask?

I have found one surgeon that I think looks really good, and I was planning on having a consultation with him soon. If I link it do you think you could take a look and let me know what you think?

There is another company near me that is sort of like that Harley thing in London - a group of surgeons and has a very commerical feel to it. Personally, I don't like that sort of setup, but if they have the best results then I should go there. It's just so hard to know, as every surgeon has some bogus #1 in the UK/Europe etc award that they got from somewhere.

I still think you should expect a post op recovery of a couple of months! That's unrealistic, my plastic surgeon said it depends on your gender, age, skin thickness etc. But 99% of surgeons say it will take up to a year.

when I get home and on my laptop I will send you the links of the forums, I don't have them bookmarked on my phone.

I'll have a look and give you my advice but I'm no expert, I can only give you my advice based on my experience.

Are you serious about a nose job? I hated my nose and thought 'nothing I can do about it's then one day I thought '**** it I want a nose job' done my research and didn't think about it until like 2 days before. If I did I would have talked myself out of it. I still can't believe I have had a nose job...just seems like something I'd never do lol

I don't really know about a nose job. I think if I ever get one it would be a really minor thing - nothing big. It would probably be to perhaps might it very slightly smaller, make it a bit straighter (actually it is already "straight" but has a very, very slight curve in one part. Basically I would just want to define it), and possibly make the tip a bit thinner. Nose job is the least of my concerns at the moment.

Right now I am more focused on the lower portion of my face. I believe the results I want can be achieved by a mild orthodontic treatment for a bimaxillar protrusion (very, very slight) and probably in combination with a very slight chin and jaw implant. The changes wouldn't be massive, but it would give me a much stronger appearance in profile. Right now I don't like that side-on my mouth appears to stick out a little bit, and therefore makes my chin and jawline appear weaker.

To be honest, plastic surgery to give you very slight improvements probably isn't the way to go. Like I said, its a big expense, big commitment, very uncomfortable and you'll probably have swelling for a year or more so you're nose would probably look worse for a year or more. Plus, if you have a nose job and the nasal bone is broken then it will never be as strong as before, so rugby is out of the question for me!!

I had my nose job because, to be honest, I had a big nose beforehand, (i'm half italian so maybe thats why!!) A nose job, when all the swelling has gone down) will make a big difference to my face i believe. But I'm not so sure slight improvements will be that noticeable. I mean people notice a big nose, but almost no-one notices a slightly weak jaw line only you.

You will always find slight faults in your appearance and I think the people who are the happiest are people who accept them / don't care. People who constantly find fault in themselves end up having too much plastic surgery and look like Michael Jackson.

I don't mean to dissuade you, but after your chin surgery if you keep finding slight faults with yourself you will probably say 'looks good, now i'd look better if my nose was improved slightly' so then a nose job. After the nose job 'I'd look better if i didn't have a single wrinkle on my brow' so a brow lift.... It's a dangerous game and plastic surgery is addictive

"A study appearing in the Annals of Plastic Surgery has found that while many who suffer from body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) seek cosmetic procedures, only 2 percent of procedures actually reduced the severity of the psychiatric disorder. Physicians, however, continue to provide requested surgeries to people suffering from the condition despite the likelihood of a poor outcome."

BDD is rubbish, basically anyone wanting to improve their appearance could be said to have that.

I have considered the risk of that happening too, but I have since worked out that no, this is ALL I want done. I know what I am trying to achieve, I know how it can be achieved. I strongly believe that I won't be doing more than what I've already laid out here.

By the way, do you have those forum links?

No, it applies to people obsessed with the perception of improving their appearance. But of course, one of the common reactions of BDD sufferers is denial.

I've done BDD tests online and everyone comes back with a "no". I don't have BDD, I simply have things that I want to improve.

Bumping for forum links please.
