Was hoping someone could please help me determine what I am on the Norwood scale. I think I'm a 3, but it looks like I could also be considered a 2. I don't know what I am, but I would like to. Please help! Thank you.

Yeah, but that's what I'm trying to figure out. If it's a 2 or 3.

There really is no exact science when it comes to classifying patients using the Norwood scale. I am sure if you asked several hair restoration physicians to categorize your hairloss you would get some say you are a stage 2, some would say stage 3, and even a few who would say you do not fit exactly into either category. The bottom line is that if you are not happy with your current hairline then you should do a few consultations to see what your options are regarding hair transplantation and at the very least what you can do to prevent further hairloss.

Thank you for your input doctor. I see you're in practice with Dr. Epstein. I have already been in contact with him and have spoken with Jon a few times. I've been thinking about hair transplants for a very long time and I'm still wrestling with it. There's part of me that hates what my hairline has become (even though it's really just a fairly small amount of recession) and the other part of me says it isn't that bad. I've been on Propecia for about 2 years and it seems to have stopped the progression. I look about the same as I did when it started. I don't know, it's a tough decision for me and I think I'm going to be wrestling with it a while longer. Anyhow, thank you for your input!
