Minoxidil question

Just received my minoxidil treatment in the mail, I didn't do my full research before ordering the rogaine foam. My main issue for my mpb is a receding hairline and the rogaine says it doesnt treat this (only the back of the head). Should I not use the product? My hairline is receding pretty bad, im 22 and want to fix this. I want to start the treatment asap, does rogaine not help thicken hair on the front of the head? Will using rogaine make my receding hairline worse? Please help. thanks!

The studies were not done on the front, so they are not allowed to say anything about the front.

A lot of users have reported use in the front is beneficial. I suggest using it in the front, I plan on using mine in the front also.

You can use it anywhere you are losing hair.

Sweet, thanks. I just wanted to make sure that I wasnt going to lose more hair then I already was. Any other stories or feedback on this issue? If this is the case, that you can use it anywhere, I will post progress to keep everybody informed.

Cool, yeah. Take a bunch of photos on day 1. Make sure to take more than 1 photo.

Then keep track of progress.


Note that you might have some initial shedding. It obviously varies from person to person.

lol my shedding is already pretty crazy, but im still willing to give it a shot. I hear the the initial shedding phase is about 1.5 months or so. I just hope that the hair i shed will grow back. receding hair lines suck. Thanks again for the help budd

my hiar started slowing crapping on my life since I was 17...im 20 now and it looks crap.

i really really really hope finasteride and minoxidil will reverse some of the damage...

So is your mpb mainly receding hairline or is it more of a bald sot on the top of your head? If it was a receding hairline, is the treatment growing some hair back in that area?

Yeah...

that sucks. I was hoping to regrow some of my hair. I am kinda norwood 3 ish with my vertex starting to go..but still have hair just starting to really thin there.

I really hope I can get some back...


Really SUCKS to hear that you were on finasteride and THEN the balding of your temples started. wtf...that sucks. I hope it helps me...

You are only in norwood 2 though. I doubt you even need to recover any hair. Your hair probably looks great!

I wish I could be norwood 2 again =\. I am N3 now, halway to vertex. I still have a lot of hair at the crown area but its definitely thinning.

I think I might try avodart FIRST. Fullspeed ahead with the big guns out first...

Ive HEARD that....just never seen any results or photos from it...but, trying to fix that haha, ive got 6 months of photos so far, gonna keep it up for the next 6 and we will see

Minoxidil almost replaced my hairline to normal.

lighting is kinda bad.. but the first photo is maybe a bit worse than it looks. second photo its kinda of back to normal.


my hair got worse since that photo... and then maybe 6 months later I took rogaine foam. I regrew hair that I thought was gone.. small vellus hairs or whatever.. tiny ones... started coming back and got bigger again. so it was pretty cool. I only hope it lasts for a while til the "cure" comes

I guess it's 5%. It's just regular Rogaine Foam.

hey guys, ive been on fin 15 months, hasnt done much, front is still getting thinner, gonna add 5% foam soon prob within 2 weeks. I know you have to give fin atleast a year, but I have heard that you should see results from rogaine after 4 months. Whats everones experience with it? Also the shed, i know to expect it, but How bad is it? Like if im a NW3 now will i shed to a NW 4? Thanks guys

I have been using rogaine for a week now, 2%. I use it like 3x a day. I use a lot. Because I am waiting for my finasteride lol. Just makes me feel better.

On it for a week now. Haven't noticed any shedding yet. Hope this isn't a bad thing.

I have been taking propecia for 3mths, but still encountered increased in shedding during shampoo...do u experienced the same symptoms? wonder when this symptom will stops? :(
