im 36 years old from Peru, started with hair problems 8 years ago, been holding on with natural treatments until 3 years ago, got tired of wasting time and money on promises since last year experienced a mayor hair loss so i decided 3 months ago to jump on big 3 wagon, here some pics

Well your hair should get stronger and darker...That is the vellus hairs going back to terminal hairs. I've heard it can take up to 2 years to see the full results. Just give it time and hopefully you will see some moderate to great results.

The pics are not showing up. Put them up again! There is nothing I like more than seeing pictures of peoples hair growing back.

I definitely see a positive difference too! I just posted to a young kid advising him to buzz his hair like yours. You guys might want to help him out too. He was brave enough to post full face pictures. He’s only 20 and can use some advice from the vets here.

It could be the lighting, but I notice a pretty solid difference between the photos. If that is really just 2 months, I'd say you are in for one heck of a pleasant response to finasteride.

well today its 3 months since i started my regimen. here is a new pic , didnt buzz my hair because its not my style so im gonna keep it as short as possible .. since last month i lowered the dose o minox , only once a day and finas 5mg cut in 6

ketokenazol shampoo 2%. is the 3rd big. in my case doctor prescribed ketokenazol 2% + salicilic acid 3% alltogether in a 120ml shampoo solution, i think its what is working best for me, got rid of sebum..

My best advice i can give you is to stay very consistent with your program. Do not alter it for any reason, unless you start getting sides. In which case do not panic and drop it all together, adjust the dosage to slightly lower. It is easy to off set your hormones and cause a shedding.

You should be very happy! I'm sure you will continue to see improvement still.

You might have to celebrate by growing your hair out and getting a trendy style!!!

tanxs for your kind words. yeah some people say that i had a HT lol... i already changed my treatment starting on month 3 i lowered the finastride ( due to strong sides ) dose cutting the pill in 6 , minoxidil only at night and keto shampoo dayli ..

from now on i can let my hair to grow longer

when i was taking 1/4 a day i had brain fog big time i was like zombie all day, 1/3 is a lot it seem that u can tolerate fin much better than me ..

i reduced the dose starting the 3rd month and u can see from pics that during 3rd month of treatment is when i got better i´m into 4th and keep seeing results so, lowering the dose didnt afect my recovery the benefits of reducing the dose were no more brain fog and improved endurance in sports and gym no more watery semen better libido ...uhm just that. besides finas which helped me a lot , what i think helped me more was the shampoo with keto+salicilic acid , i completely god rid of sebum , i allways had the sebum problem and shampoo put an end to it...

i just saw the shampoo as Regrowth Treatment Shampoo. i wonder why not more people use the keto+saliclic acid combo. it really works for me.

a little update i just completed 4th month of treatment with such good results , lowered the dose to 1/5 of 5mg generic finasteride keto2% salicilic acid3% shampoo 5 times a week and minox .5ml twice a day , sides went away for good, let my hair grow, be posting new pics very soon ....

i think that what really worked for me was getting rid of sebum, i allways had Seborrheic dermatitis and no shampoo seemed to stop it until i found keto+salicilic acid shampoo tanxs to hairloss forums .

first get Seborrheic dermatitis under control then u can use minox 5% to regrow and take a low dose of finas to stop hair from falling, depending on age and level of baldness in 6 months u should see some results, in my case it was faster , i dont know why but i think the key is gettin sebum under control..

dont get on finas yet , u r so young and if u still have good density of hair you can try the shampoo only, sebum is the waxy substance in ur scalp , try this.

dont wash your hair for 2 days. then pass ur fingernail tru ur scalp if u get someting like wax then u have sebum , it makes your hair weaker and with the time kills follicle, besides , minox will have no efect until u get rid of it..
since you are so young and have good amount of hair i would recomend to try keto shampoo at least for 6 months before jumping on finasteride..

No, it is only in the US that you require the consultation.

There is no hard evidence that showed that topical finasteride works. I would save my money if I were you and just take oral fin, and generic kirkland minox(you can get a 12 month supply for 30$ on ebay).

Yeah they can be used together, but the only evidence that topical works is that it gets absorbed systemically. So you might as well just take it orally with generic minox.

U can spend tons of money on fancy tonics if u wants but it will be exactly the same as oral fin and generic minox. Plus fin has a near flat dose rate, meaning that any dose from .2mg to 5mg has nearly the same effectiveness.

Just pop the pill and put on regular minox and be consistent with it. Dont get lazy and miss days or whatever and you should see good to great results.

Good luck with it all. It really is a test of patience, but I saw results very very quickly and I managed to regrow my frontal hairline. Very impressive stuff.

Choose a modest dosage like .5mg fin, and 2x daily minox, and just give it atleast 6 months. Dont impulsively change the dosage.

hey guys, i also suffer from serraboa dermatitis (ive had it since i was a kid) and I believe this has contributed to my thinning hair. it was only a couple of yrs ago i found Nizoral which contains Ketoconazole 2%. it cleared me up big time. you can buy the stuff off the shelf at your pharmacy for around 15 bucks. i use it twice a week and use a volumizing shampoo in between. has helped me a great deal.

it doesnt contain sclylictic acid or whatever was mentioned earlier tho, but i think the important ingredient is the Ketoconazole.
it smells pretty good too - much better than tar shampoos i used in the past where my hair smelled like BBQ afterward. hahaha
