Picture Scar Revision
This fellow is a few years out from a couple of transplants by a nearby facility. He was concerned by a wide scar on the left. As it crossed midline in the back the scar was really not so bad that I felt I could significantly improve it; so we stopped just past midline.

He had asked about FUE'ing the scar; so when we got done, I had him use an 18 gauge needle to try to make slits in the "grissle" of the scar. It was nearly impossible towards the middle as the scar was really tough. Although FUE placement into the wide scar would likely have worked, as it was soft; I doubt if there would have been sufficient vascular supply to support grafts in the really hard part of the scar.

He'll be back monthly for scar checks and possible steroid injection. He may widen again, but a deep layer hopefully will prevent much of that.

Picture 133 Graft FUE
This nice medical secretary had complained of loss of her widow's peak apex from some kind of trauma years ago prior to both learning English and moving from eastern Europe to the US. She had to occasion to talk with a previous patient who visited the medical practice that she works for and came over to see if we had a minimally invasive option for her.

We taped up that thick posterior hair, did a quick FUE harvest, and placement with completion before lunch allowing her to go to work the rest of the afternoon. One week pics are shown also, and we'll see her next spring for a checkup and interim pics.

Picture 3200 Grafts
This fellow had a previous 1500 strip done elsewhere and was a bit pluggy, and had a moderately wide scar. We densely packed his entire frontal region and gave him a nice tight 2 layer trichophytic closure. Periop and day 7 pics are shown, and he emailed a pic at day 12 out from suture removal as well.

Picture 2600 Grafts / Crown
This fellow was miniaturizing and thinning in a tennis ball sized area in his crown. He had great donor hair. Despite my philosophy that there is “no glory” in the crown, we shaved a bit into surrounding, early miniaturizing hair, and dense packed his crown. Periop and 1 week pics are shown. His sutures were removed yesterday and its easy to see the counterclockwise swirl that we created with slit placement, is growing in nicely.

Picture 1500 Grafts / 8 Mo. Hairline
8 month hairline. This gym teacher had 1500 grafts to his frontal hairline and pictures include periop, 1 week, 3 week and 8 month pics. Despite having a few months until his final result, he looks great and has a nice scar…despite teaching phys ed to kids and having lots of activity to his scalp.
