Scar Revision
This fellow is a few years out from a couple of transplants by a nearby facility. He was concerned by a wide scar on the left. As it crossed midline in the back the scar was really not so bad that I felt I could significantly improve it; so we stopped just past midline.

He had asked about FUE'ing the scar; so when we got done, I had him use an 18 gauge needle to try to make slits in the "grissle" of the scar. It was nearly impossible towards the middle as the scar was really tough. Although FUE placement into the wide scar would likely have worked, as it was soft; I doubt if there would have been sufficient vascular supply to support grafts in the really hard part of the scar.

He'll be back monthly for scar checks and possible steroid injection. He may widen again, but a deep layer hopefully will prevent much of that.
